5 Top Tips For Getting Active

 

1. Have fun!

Exercise should be fun- so whether it is running, cycling or dance, do it because it makes you smile!

2. Get a group together.

Exercise is more fun with friends, so get a group together for a kick-about or go for a walk to the park.

3. Little and often goes a long way.

We should all aim for 20 to 30 minutes of exercise a day, but that can be 10 minutes i the morning and 10 minutes later on.

It will add up over time, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.

4. Explore something new!

Dance, swimming, hiking, weightlifting, netball... the list is endless!

5. ... and try it again!

The first time we do something can feel daunting and sometimes we need more practise. We might need to build our resilience and confidence rather than giving up at the first try.
