Be aware of, and promote local and national public health campaigns:

Display posters, add info to school newsletters and social media platforms supporting current campaigns (e.g Measles awareness).

Support the uptake and delivery of vaccinations:

  • Support the routine immunisation programme through sharing of information with parents and caregivers at key points and support with consent forms where appropriate.
  • Kernow Health are happy to be contacted by schools or parents with any questions, and they can also help to arrange catch-up clinics.

Support school health screening ensuring parents are well informed:

Promote and signpost to the School Nursing Service for support:

The School Nursing service offers all parents and carers in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, the opportunity for their child to have a health assessment and reviews during their children’s school years from reception through to leaving secondary education and transition into adulthood.
