The purpose of this 1 hour workshop is to provide Bar and Pub Management and employees with key legal and practical training in regard to alcohol and related risks, drugs, drug use and drug users, and how to respond to complex incidents..

Topics Covered include:

  • Understanding the licensing act, its 4 aims, and the responsibility your organisation has to uphold them
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of substance misuse in customer behaviour
  • Identify risk factors of alcohol - knowing when to refuse
  • How to appropriately respond to instances of substance misuse
  • Know what is expected of both employees and employers to ensure everyone feels supported and able to discuss issues confidently
