Berryfields Park, Bodmin will officially be launched as a Smokefree Play Park at a FREE community event on Saturday, June 1 from 10am - 1pm.
The event focuses on fun while celebrating the new smokefree status of the park. There will be lots of fun activities including inflatables, a treasure hunt, ice cream, music and a dance/performance workshop from KBSK.
Our friendly and helpful team will be there to chat to, along with a variety of other local organisations including Cornwall’s Fire and Rescue Service, YZUP, Mike’s Trust and Young People Cornwall.
Berryfields is the latest park to become a voluntary smokefree zone after similar launches in Liskeard, Hayle, Illogan, Launceston, Torpoint and Newquay. The aim of this project is to reduce the number of people smoking around children and raise awareness of the dangers of passive smoking.
